2.The API 5L X60 pipe shall be sufficiently free from indentations, projections and roll marks for a distance of at least 200mm (8.0 in) from each API 5L X60 pipe and in order to permit proper make-up of the couplings.

ASTM A517 steel (also called ASME SA517 standard) is a kind of high-strength quenched and tempered alloy steel plates intended for use in fusion welded boilers and other pressure vessels.
