When heat treatment of a closed ASME SA106 C seamless pipe more than 6 meters is carried out, the internal two ends of the ASME SA106 C seamless pipe shall be sealed and the heat preservation material shall be water-soluble paper, and the distance between the sealing material and the treatment area shall be controlled according to the diameter of the ASME SA106 C seamless pipe and the treatment temperature to avoid burning failure.

ASTM A517 steel (also called ASME SA517 standard) is a kind of high-strength quenched and tempered alloy steel plates intended for use in fusion welded boilers and other pressure vessels.
